The Parish Council discusses current planning applications at its monthly meetings. Residents are always welcome to come along and give their views and comments during the 'Public Participation' item and before the Council make their recommendations on each individual application.

The Parish Council is sometimes invited to meet with prospective developers as part of their pre-application process. This is usually during the Parish Council's monthly meeting. Our pre-meeting protocol is here.
If and when this happens the item is always included on the monthly agenda which is displayed on each of the Council's noticeboards and which are displayed here the week before the meeting.
In addition notice will also be given in the Hawthorn Community Round Up which is the Council's monthly electronic newsletter.
Details of the Council's discussions and comments on every planning application in Hawthorn Parish are included in the minutes of the meetings.
